Liverpool Rout West Ham 4-1 to Close Gap on Manchester City

Salah Scores Stunning Goal; Reds Move Within Three Points of Top Spot

Mohamed Salah's superb left-footed strike helped Liverpool secure a crucial 4-1 victory over West Ham United on Saturday, moving the Reds within three points of Premier League leaders Manchester City.

The victory at Anfield extended Liverpool's unbeaten run to 14 matches in all competitions and set the stage for a thrilling title race in the second half of the season. Liverpool dominated the game from the start, with Salah opening the scoring in the 36th minute. The Egyptian forward curled a beautiful shot into the top corner from just outside the box.

Liverpool doubled their lead in the 68th minute through Sadio Mane, who finished off a swift counter-attack. West Ham briefly pulled a goal back through Pablo Fornals, but goals from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Divok Origi wrapped up a comfortable win for the Reds.

The result leaves Liverpool in second place on 40 points, three points behind Manchester City, who have a game in hand. West Ham remain in sixth place on 24 points.
