Bologna will be without suspended midfielder Jerdy Schouten for their Champions League play-off second leg against Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.

The Dutch midfielder was sent off in the first leg, which Shakhtar won 2-1 in Poland.

Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is also sweating on the fitness of defender Arthur Theate, who missed the first leg with a thigh injury.

The Ukrainian international has been ruled out with a knee injury.
